Mafraq, Oct. 20 (Petra) -- The Qasabat Mafraq Education Directorate launched on Tuesday the English Short Story Competition, featuring three age categories across the directorate level.

In a statement released Tuesday, the directorate noted that the competition, hosted at Hay Al-Zuhour Secondary Mixed School, aims to foster students' linguistic and creative talents, improve their English writing skills, and encourage literary expression to cultivate artistic abilities.

The directorate reaffirmed its commitment to supporting educational and cultural initiatives that identify student talent, build foundational skills, and promote participation in specialized competitions that enrich students' academic development and personal growth.
